Guest speaker at the Texas Dance Educators Association annual conference, in a round table discussion with Allie Hudak, President of TDEA, Karis Van, 1st Vice President in charge of curriculum, Brittany Huebner past President, and Monique Jordan, 2nd Vice President, about the importance of creative movement in elementary education.

Residencies at Seneca, Beverly Street, Sunny View and William McCordic congregated schools for students with physiological and neurological disabilities, using sensory activities, creative movement, therapeutic touch and visual art. Part of the Toronto District School Board’s tdsbCREATES program, in partnership with Prologue for the Performing Arts, funded by the Toronto Arts Council
February – November
Leading Professional Development workshops for elementary teachers across the Toronto District School Board, sharing creative movement and embodied learning strategies designed to deepen students’ relationship to Land and Water.
March and November
Guest speaker and facilitator at the Faculty of Education, York University, Toronto, focusing on Integrated Arts and Eco-somatic Arts Education
May – June
Movement artist working with the grade 3 cohorts at Clinton Street P.S and Seventh Street P.S. as part of The Flower Project, a drama, dance and visual art program inspired by the children’s book, The Flower written by John Light, illustrator Lisa Evans. The project culminated with students from both schools coming together in a joyful afternoon of movement exploration and discovery.
June
Welcome Dance Ambassador for Walk with Amal, produced by The Walk Production, Luminato Festival Toronto, Handsprung Puppet Company, Dreamwalker Dance Company and supported by Doctors without Boarders/Medecins San Frontieres, to raise awareness about the world refugee crisis.
