2021 – 2026 Highlights
Guest speaker/facilitator at North American Education Conferences including CODE (Council of Drama and Dance Educators), TDEA (Texas Dance Educators Association) leading Professional Development workshops (in person) and panel discussions and guest speaker (via zoom as well as video tutorials) on the benefits of dance education.
Guest teacher at post secondary institutes, most recently York University’s Faculty of Education, focusing on Dance and Creative Movement, Integrated Arts, and Eco-somatic Arts Education in elementary education, and at the Royal Conservatory’s Orff Music accreditation program for teachers.
Guest artist working in Elementary schools throughout Ontario, engaging students in dance exploration and creation through my ‘Dance the Moving World’ program.
Multiple residencies working with students with physiological and cognitive exceptionalities using a multisensory approach to movement and the arts, as part of the tdsbCREATES program, in partnership with Prologue Performing Arts.

2010 – 2020 Highlights
Commissioned to create interactive educational tours of the Ancient Civilization galleries (China, Egypt and Greece) for classes visiting the Royal Ontario Museum. The tours use movement exploration as a catalyst to increase student engagement and deepen their understanding of the objects and artifacts on display by addressing students’ diverse styles of learning. Other galleries and exhibition spaces I’ve created programs for in the 1990s and 2000s include the Design Exchange (Toronto) Algoma Gallery (Sault Ste Marie), and the Thunder Bay Art Gallery.
Royal Ontario Museum commission to create a dance installation for the museum’s Ancient Greek gallery to celebrate its centenary in 2014. The installation was remounted the following year in conjunction with the international touring exhibit ‘Pompei, Under the Volcano’. Earlier dance and music installations created for galleries and exhibition spaces include the McMichael Art Gallery (Kleinburg) the Tree Museum (Gravenhurst) and the Haliburton Sculpture Forest.
Teaching Modern Dance to children (6 – 8) youth (9 – 19) and adults (25 to 65 years of age) at Pegasus Dance Studio (1996 – 2022) and other studios, including the Canadian Children’s Dance Theatre and Pia Bouman School of Ballet and Creative Movement .
Seniors in Motion, teaching creative movement program with Michelle Silagy, for participants aged 70 through 90 in partnership with Khedmat Toronto.
Choreographed and coordinated Toronto’s Global Water Dances biannual event between 2015 – 2019. Over 100 choreographers from around the world work with thousands of movers of all ages in this outdoor celebration of water.
In addition to my three dance education books published by Human Kinetics (see front page) I’ve written study guides for school boards, dance companies and dance festivals, as well as articles in academic journals focusing on Eco-somatic Arts Education.
